Department of Zoology

The Department of Zoology imparts instructions to the students of B.Sc.(Hons) Zoology, Botany and B.Sc.(Programme). The Department offers courses in the latest trends in Zoology such as Biotechnology and Genomics, Immunology and Biochemistry and Environmental management. For this, the department has a team of qualified faculty. The department is equipped with three laboratories to offer the students practical training as per their academic curriculum. The department invites distinguished speakers to enlighten the students about latest developments in Zoology. The department also organizes educational excursions to expose students to the Zoology outside the classroom and to develop a passion for nature. The students manage Zoological Society of the Department. The Society organizes the annual festival Chimaera and publishes annual journal 'Fauna'.
