    Philosophy

    Department of Philosophy

Knowledge on any aspects of life remains incomplete without philosophical reflections. Hence Philosophy is not only an inevitable accomplishment of a self-conscious society that orients the learner how to arrive at a right decision by analyzing the fact, entering into deep insight and by choosing the appropriate one with justification by rejecting the wrong one, rather it is an essential aspect for human development in form of value orientation. It is the study of the most fundamental issues concerning Reality, Knowledge and Value along with the basic deep rooted concepts, principles and arguments of the major intellectual disciplines. When Science provides us knowledge, only Philosophy paves way towards wisdom. The undergraduate course in Philosophy trains students to develop a philosophical orientation by practicing their analytic ability, intellectual insight and principles to bridge the gap between the theory and practice in all domains of life. They get trained to face the public domain with fairness and justice in everyday life. The Department organizes National and International seminars and symposia from time to time to expose our students and faculty to the intellectual realm. Presentations and interactive sessions are organized to help students to enhance their cognitive and expository skills. Tours and trips to Old age home/orphanage/differently abled person’s homes are organized to connect our learners with the outer world with sensitivity and empathy. After successful completion of the course, one can enter into Mass communication, Civil services, Academic & Research, BPO Training, Law, Medical Transcription, Value Education and all other non-technical jobs.
